Australia now has a Girls Only class!
Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is based on leverage and technique rather than size and strength—and for those reasons, it could very well be the perfect art for women. These techniques are not dependent on strength and conditioning, so the jiu-jitsu you learn today can be used today! Esther Tavares Tutida began training BJJ in 2003 and she is currently the only female brown belt in Tasmania. She has been a successful fighter in Australia, Brazil and Japan.
